The fifth means by which an app based upon the concept of locking screens with block images features objects instead of faces. On the one hand this circumvents the GDPR issues of facial capture or harvesting, beside the costs involved in the use of AI-generated portraits and the associated copyrights.
Bloxlox differ from captchas for instance in so far as objects featured are non-generic, and not anything the population at large would either recognise or invest with meaning... this is among central claims in the patents being pursued on behalf of the concept.
Here for example is one image among nine that has meaning for me... the ginger beer at middle right which I drank on a summer's evening on a highway stop in Scotland.
Seeing an image subsequently ~ as used here ~ takes us back to 'that' moment in a way that is on one hand wholly unique, and on the other a common trait.
It is so much easier to navigate than alternative methods like captchas, a good deal less frustrating and in the final analysis, wholly more secure.
